United Nations Study into Street Children 2012

The Consortium for Street Children played a key consultancy role in a 2012 study conducted by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights into street children. The report, entitled: 'Protection and promotion of the rights of children working and/or living on the streets' is now available to download as a PDF. The study was sponsored by Aviva.

The above report is a summary of a longer 'Global Research Paper' written by Dr Sarah Thomas de Benitez. CSC's Advocacy Director Louise Meincke, wrote an accompanying paper entitled 'Children's Voices' which highlighted how street children themselves feel about the issues they face. This was undertaken in close collaboration with a number of members of the CSC network.
